Departing promptly at 12:00 PM from the conference center, this food and wine is truly an indulgent, off-the-beaten-path city tour. During this incredible day, you’ll experience a very wide range of tastes in the most exciting districts of Barcelona. This tour takes you through the lively and diverse districts of Barcelona to sample a generous variety of both classic and modern tapas in local venues. The focus of the tour is to provide an action-packed, well-rounded city walking tour, stopping at four to five venues for great, distinct dishes paired with terrific Spanish wine and cava. This tour is a great introduction to Barcelona and is strongly recommended for travelers looking to combine an interactive city tour with lunch and/or for adventurous people who just want a guaranteed great day out on the town in Barcelona! The tour is expected to return at approximately 4:30 PM.

This tour departs the conference center at 10:00 AM. This is a relaxed pace bike tour, but you will need to be in decent physical shape and dressed appropriately for the weather to be able to keep up with the group. There are many informational breaks along the way for you to rest if you haven’t biked in a while. During this tour, you get to see and experience all of the key plazas, back alleys, main Ramblas (yes, there is more than one!), markets, the Cathedral and other monuments of the Ciutat Vella (old quarter) including the Port Vell, Barceloneta Beach, Born, Gothic and El Raval, Plaça Espanya. The we’ll take the Modernist route including exterior visits and explanations of the various modernist works along the Passeig de Gracia (Casa Batlló, Casa Ametller, La Pedrera, and more) and, of course, Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia. The final leg of the this bike tour takes you along the boardwalks of the port and beach areas. We’ll also have a lunch stop to enjoy some local tapas. The tour returns to the conference center at approximately 3:30 PM.
